The language of lettin gifts go … sometimes includes the discomfort that the recipient does not read my emotions about how they should accept and or use what I give. That’s on me of course. And don’t forget the wonderment that almost anything put out on the curb in SC gets taken away at night by the neighborhood elves and fairies. It’s amazing!

The flicker was flippant I admit! Your note made me reflect on my love language, which is overwhelmingly quality time. But I recognize that many loved ones in my life speak more of the gift love language. So it can totally get tricky, right? Understanding and honoring another’s love language-whether we’re giving or receiving-when it doesn’t match our own. About this big yellow banana phone case... It was given in a space where quality time had taken priority. I had a whole, entire, week with women I love, essentially celebrating being together. My heart was so happy. And for many of these ladies, gift giving fills their cups. The gifts they shared created laughter, strengthened our togetherness, and birthed memories that I know I will carry forever. So I suppose the flickier flicker is to just follow your damn heart! Who gives a damn what happens next.

And also, the streets here might be a love language all their own.

I’ve dealt with a lot of “shit” in my life but realize it’s the “little things” that matter the most 😘
